Please contact the parish office at least nine months before your intended wedding date to fill out a Wedding Request Form, which may be found in the booklet. Marriage Guidelines
The Wedding Request Form will be given to the pastor for approval. Once the pastor has approved the engaged couple's request to be married at St. Patrick, the assigned priest will call the couple to set up an initial meeting. Non-parishioners must receive the permission of their pastor before scheduling their wedding at St. Patrick’s.
Marriage preparation in the Diocese of Columbus lasts approximately 9-12 months. More information from the diocesan Office of Marriage and Family may be found here
Engaged couples will be matched with a married couple from the parish who will serve as their mentor couple throughout their engagement, using the Fully Engaged pre-marital inventory and marriage formation program.
Engaged couples are to attend the Pre-Cana Formation Day, which is an opportunity to spend time as a couple reflecting on marriage, praying together, and meeting other engaged couples from the diocese. The Pre-Cana Formation Day is held at different parishes in the Diocese of Columbus throughout the year. For more information or to register, click here.
Engaged couples are to participate in a course on Natural Family Planning (NFP), either in-person or online. Information about these course may be found by clicking here.
